Valters is Director General of the International Research-Based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Latvia (SIFFA).

His responsibilities include the development, management and coordination of government affairs strategies related to national legislation, programs and institutions. His role also includes the development of strategies to address the regulatory and policy environment in Latvia to better facilitate the objectives of the association’s members and create a positive presence among state and national parliamentarians, members of the government, civil servants, and the various affiliated agencies.

Valters is an internationally experienced management consultant with more than 15 years of experience in the government sectors, strategic communication, public affairs and public policy.

Valters holds a PhD in management science and has been involved in numerous advisory projects across the Middle East and Europe.
